On a wide open range, there are two ranchers
These two ranchers live right next to each other, with only a fence separating them from each other, which is usually used to keep cattle inside of their yards and away from the other’s.
However, one day, one rancher notices that one of the support beams is missing. Just, completely gone, along with four or five of his cattle, who presumably escaped when it was removed.
He goes to try and find this fence, but to no avail for a while. Eventually, he gives up and knocks on his neighbor’s door, who is the other rancher.
The first rancher asks him, “Have you seen my cattle, or do you know what could have happened to my fence?” The second rancher, whom had just opened his door began to sweat as he quickly said, “No. I do not know.” The second rancher quickly slammed the door. After the door was closed, the first rancher heard a very loud mooing sound.
He looked around and it seemed to be coming from the other rancher’s barn. He ran into it, as fast as he could, ramming open the door with all of his might. There, he saw it. Four of his cows, all branded, and the fence support beam lying against his wall. The first rancher furiously screamed as he began to guide them all back into his yard, also carrying the support beam to his fence.
The second rancher stopped him about halfway to his yard, and said “Wow. I’ve stolen your property but you’ve really taken a fence, huh?”
