Working in an office is strange…
…I feel like a high school freshman all over again. Don’t really know what I’m doing. I have no real responsibilities. Just getting adjusted to the big kid school known as the Real World.
This will last 7-10 years until you marry or buy a house or condo. Just kidding, the student loans ruined that plan.
Workers in their late 30s to early 50s are in their junior year of office life. A lot of big tests, like having kids and divorce. It’s like a Sopranos episode that never ends.
Workers nearing retirement are the seniors, literally. And they’ll let you know how many days they have left. Cheryl from accounting reminds everybody everyday. Bout to graduate into death.
